KIPP Delta Collegiate High Named #4 High School in Arkansas

KIPP Delta Collegiate High School has been named the #4 high school in the state of Arkansas by US News & World Report*.  This is the fifth year the magazine has compiled the online list; analyzing how well nearly 22,000 public high schools in 49 states and the District of Columbia are educating their students.  This marks the third year KIPP Delta Collegiate High School has made the list.

Schools were awarded gold, silver, or bronze medals based on state proficiency standards, how well they prepare students for college, as well as a variety of other factors.  KIPP Delta Collegiate High School was one of thirty-three schools in Arkansas given a silver medal. To receive a gold or silver award, schools had to prove that each of their students outperformed the statistical average student in that state as well as show that the least-advantaged students also outperformed similar students in their state.  Schools meeting both criteria were judged on how ready their students were to succeed in college, based on Advanced Placement or International Baccalaureate tests.
