More than 230 attend KIPP "Souper Bowl"

Organizers are calling the first ever KIPP Blytheville "Souper Bowl," held Saturday, a success.

More than 230 supporters gathered at the Blytheville Holiday Inn to both celebrate the students' achievements and learn more about KIPP. Guests got to see the student-made bowls and take home their favorites. Many students and teachers were present to talk and dine with supporters.

The KIPP Delta Drumline came all the way from Helena to perform the halftime show. The KIPP Blytheville Singing Scholars closed out the evening with their rendition of Adele's "Rolling in the Deep."

The program was emceed by Revan Aleti and Fredaysia Estell, both of the Class of 2018. D'Angelo Jones, Class of 2020, and Hannah Holmes, Class of 2018, read their own personal "KIPP Story."

Participants were able to raise close to $20,000 during the event and introduce many new people to KIPP Delta Public Schools.
