KIPP Delta Public Schools Accreditation Status and ADE Designations

KIPP Delta Public Schools Accreditation Status and ADE Designations.

All KIPP Delta Public Schools were fully accredited for the 2013-2014 school year.

KIPP Delta Public Schools were recently designated as Needs Improvement Schools by the Arkansas Department of Education.  Under the current designation system, each school is assigned a yearly growth target based on performance on End of Course exams in 2011, regardless of how high or low the school tested. Despite KIPP Delta students outperforming the Helena-West Helena School District in 100% of tested areas, the Blytheville School District in 93% of tested areas, and the state in 48% of tested areas, we did miss our growth targets in a few categories.

KIPP Delta Public Schools were achieving in the percent of students tested, but missed our literacy growth goal by 1%, our math growth goal by 8%, and our graduate rate goal of 97% by 4%. Over 875 Arkansas schools received a designation of Needs Improvement for performance in 2013-2014.
