Who We Are

In 2002, KIPP Delta Public Schools was established in Helena, Arkansas where we opened the doors of our first middle school. KIPP Delta College Preparatory School, located in the newly refurbished train depot, welcomed 65 students in fifth grade.

Our Promise

We promised to do whatever was necessary to help our students succeed, and we asked them, and their parents, to make the commitment to excellence.

Many years later, KIPP Delta is still making – and keeping – the same promises. KIPP Delta has grown to serve over 1,200 students and over 500 alumni. We now have five schools located in Helena and Blytheville, AR: KIPP Delta Elementary Literacy Academy, KIPP Delta College Preparatory School, KIPP Delta Collegiate High School, KIPP Blytheville College Preparatory School, and KIPP Blytheville Collegiate High School.

Our Vision

Every child grows up free to create the future they want for themselves and their communities.

Our Mission

Together with families and communities, we create joyful, academically excellent schools that prepare students with the skills and confidence to pursue the paths they choose—college, career, and beyond—so they can lead fulfilling lives and build a more just world.

  • We believe every student walks through the doors of school bearing gifts. Talent. Drive. Perspective. Inspiration.
  • We believe in building students’ skills and confidence so that they may pursue their highest aspirations.
  • We believe that we must model the world we wish to see by building a diverse and inclusive organization.
  • We believe in preparing every student for college and celebrating all paths to a fulfilling life.
  • We believe that if we help children develop the academic and character strengths they need for college and choice filled lives, they will be better able to build a better tomorrow for themselves, for their communities, for us all.
  1. Create a welcoming, joyful, and inclusive community – We want KIPP Delta to be a place where students, family, and staff love to be.  If our community is happier, we see better outcomes.
  2. Continuously invest in academic excellence – Every child deserves a transformative education that leads to their ability to think critically, reason intentionally, and actively engage.
  3. Communicate and engage, proactively and effectively – We want to continuously engage and partner with students, families, and staff so every person is kept up-to-date and feels their voice is heard.
